House Rules
Tenants must agree to abide by the
following house rules, rules stated in the Rental Agreement, any
rules posted at the property and common sense:
- SMOKING IS NOT
ALLOWED inside the RED DOOR Tahoe.
The smoke detectors are sensitive and call North Tahoe Fire Department
directly.
- Pets are
not permitted on the property.
- Check in is after 4 PM on the arrival
date. Early check in is not possible. Check out on the date of
departure is by 11 AM, without exception.
- Occupancy is restricted to a maximum
8 guests.
- Occupancy and use of the premises
and grounds in such a fashion that disturbs or offends neighbors
is prohibited. Please respect the neighbors by being quiet after
10 PM.
- No Ski Boots on the wooden floors
please.
- Unsupervised use of Steam Showers
by children is prohibited.
- Use of Alcohol or Drugs during
steam shower use is prohibited.
- Rearranging of furniture is not
permitted.
- All doors and windows should be
closed and locked when property is unoccupied.
- All trash should be deposited in
designated Bear bin receptacles only and never left out.
- Grilling is permitted with the
provided gas grill only on deck areas. Absolutely no grilling
is allowed under eaves, near wooded areas, or anywhere that may
pose the risk of fire.
- Use of fireworks is always prohibited
in the Tahoe Basin. The Sheriff very aggressively enforces this
law during fire season.
- No unsupervised children on the upper back deck.
- Bath towels may not be taken outside. Please use Spa towels provided for this.
- Use of laundry is permitted, but
please provide your own detergent and supplies.
- Please provide your own personal toiletries.
- Please remove all food items from
the refrigerators when you leave.
- Please enjoy the fireplace inserts
with care. Do not forget to turn them off when not in use. PLEASE
MAKE SURE GAS FIREPLACES ARE ALWAYS ATTENDED WHEN ACTIVATED.
- Local telephone calls are free.
Long distance with a telephone credit card only.
- Wastewater and sewage are disposed
into a septic system which can be sensitive to certain substances.
Guests are asked to minimize solids introduced into this system
through drains and toilets. Please do not flush or drain any of
the following substances:
• Fats or grease of any kind (minimize food waste in general)
• Coffee grounds
• Facial quality tissues (toilet paper is okay)
• Sanitary napkins or tampons
• Disposable diapers
